Dear Fans, Friends, and Foes of SB BR Matches:
The 2016 season of .22LR 50yd Bench Rest Fun Matches ended under near perfect conditions: moderate temperatures, sunny skies, and a very mild wind (steady, but with occasional 180 degree changes in direction).
Thirty-five matches were logged, four in irons, 31 in scopes.
Scores were high. In the scope class, the average score was the highest (397 – 28X) of all 122 matches since this series started back in August 2011. Also in the scope class, the lowest X count was 20; amazing when you consider that the X ring is only 0.359″ in diameter.
We welcomed back once-a-year shooter Tom Cahill (visiting the York’s from California). Hopefully his visit next year will include at least Monday.
I cannot thank enough all who helped in any aspect of these matches over the past year and over all six years. You make my job as Match Director easy. Also, I cannot thank enough all who tested their skills from the firing line. With today’s 35 scores, we have logged a total of 3,508 matches over the past six years.
Time to relax, but keep in mind the monthly .22LR 100yd Winter Fun Shoots start on Saturday Nov 19, 2016.
