Dear LVSA Members and Followers of SB BR Shooting:
Warm temperatures (mid 80’s), mostly sunny skies, and a wind predominately from the north with varying intensity, mainly in the later flights, greeted the competitors in today’s .22LR 50yd Bench Rest Fun Shoot.
Thirty-nine matches were logged, three in irons, 34 in scopes, and two equipment-caused DNF’s.
We welcomed back Dave Vaughn after a long absence from these matches (Dave last shot with us in 2012). Unfortunately sighting problems caused him to DNF. Hopefully Dave will be back with us as his schedule allows.
My thanks to all who helped with any and all aspects of the match. My thanks as well to all who tested their skill and equipment against today’s wind. Sometimes I think it is an unequal contest, but we did OK.
Today’s was the 7th match in this series this season. There are only 16 remaining so make your plans to join in. New shooters, returning shooters, infrequent shooters, and spectators are always welcome.
