Dear LVSA Members:
Cooler temperatures at long last, but with them came the threat of storms. Lucky for us, Mother Nature has a soft spot in her heart for the .22LR 50yd Bench Rest Fun Shoots and kept the rain at bay until the last hour.
But Mother Nature does let that little imp, Our Friend the Wind, run wild now and again as the dramatic 180 degree change in direction at 6pm proved.
Forty-two scores were logged today, four with irons and 38 with scopes. This brings the total for the 2017 season to 612 (45 with irons and 557 with scopes). Congratulations to all participants.
We welcomed new shooter Dan Davis to the firing line today. Hopefully Dan will make these Monday afternoon matches a regular part of his week.
Thanks as always to all helpers and shooters. You make Match Directing a breeze. Our new storage cabinet in the LEA storage shed sure makes things easier.
There are only six matches remaining this year. Plan to attend before time runs out. A good time is guaranteed to be had by all.
