Dear SB Bench Rest Shooters and All Others:
Summer officially ends with the autumnal equinox on Fri Sept 22.
Thus today’s .22LR 50yd Bench Rest Fun Shoot was the last one of the summer but not the last one of the season. There are two to go: Mon Sept 25, and Mon Oct 2. If you haven’t participated yet this year, plan to do so.
Today’s match was contested under mostly sunny skies with the temp at match time a comfortable 78 degF. Our Friend the Wind, however, put on quite a show assuring an interesting and challenging shoot. Forty matches were logged, three with irons, 36 with scopes, and one DNF.
We welcomed back LindaJo and Richard Brown after a month’s absence. It is good to have them back. We are now resting assured that our water supply is secure.
As always, thanks are due to all who helped in any and every capacity, and to all who braved the wind to test their skills on the firing line.
