The 4-H shooting will start at the indoor range on Jan 8. This training will be on Mondays and Fridays from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm.

Old Business
1] There will not be a Winter Fair trade show in 2018.
2] Range license: Signed copies of the license and supporting documents were sent via certified mail to the Corp of Engineers on Dec 21, 2017. In a Jan 3 phone call to Piette, Michael Pratt (USACoE Omaha) verified receipt of the license. In that conversation, Mr. Pratt indicated that the club’s concerns should not pose problems with the license.
3] We had one shooter for New Owners’ Night. Thomas gave the safety briefing, Brown, Cross, Dolence, Piette, and Sebesta were available to help at the range.
4] Molyneux reported that there has been no word on the FoNRA Grant request.
5] Matt Lemm brought the Springfield Armory 1911 Range Officer to show. Tickets for this members-only raffle (300 at $10 each, first come first served) will be available in March. The winner will have to pass the NICS background check.

New Business
1] Lander Rec Board Grant: no one noticed any application deadline [post meeting note: as noted on the Rec Board website https://landerrecboard.org/, the deadline for 2018 grants was Jan 5th].
2] Per the LVSA By-Laws, all five of the club’s officers and two of the four Board members are up for election every two years. This year, 2018, is an election year. The election will be held at the club’s March 7 meeting.
The officers and Board members in question are:
Officers:
President – Roger Sebesta
Vice President – Caroline Cain
Secretary / Treasurer – Charlie Piette
Chief Instructor – Roy Brown
Chief Range Officer – Bruce Campbell
Board Member – Dudley Irvine Tom Spriggs
Board Member – Donn Molyneux

For the record, the two Board members whose terms expire in 2020 are Tom Spriggs and Ed Newell.
3] Sebesta raised the possibility of installing infrared heat in the indoor range. Irvine will investigate options and costs.
4] Updated MOUs will be sent to the LEAs using the range. These will reflect the new License dates.
5] Greg Hanks of Hanks’ Lock and Key passed away in December. Greg provided his services to the LVSA for many years. Piette has contacted Ray Clark of C&C Lock and Key (Riverton) who will become our new lock and key supplier.
6] Brown will be conducting another NRA Basic Pistol class Jan 9 class, 11 class, and 13 range day. There are several slots still available. [Roy can be reached at 332-7119 rebrkb@wyoming.com.]
7] Ron Hanson, owner of Wind River Outdoor, is interested in sponsoring a shotgun day at the outdoor range. Details are yet to be worked out.

Next meeting Wed Feb 7, 2018, 7:30pm
Adjourned at 8:10pm.
