Dear LVSA Members and Friends:
As we are all aware, the Wind is our friend – but sometimes it would be nice if she (Mother Nature, you know) wouldn’t be so friendly. Today was one of those days.
Sunny skies and temps in the low 70’s would have made for a beautiful opening day for this year’s .22LR 50yd Bench Rest Fun Shoots. The only force not cooperating was the 40+mph wind.
As Match Director, it was heartening to see the number of people who showed up, called, or texted to see if we would be shooting. But as it has been proven in previous seasons, it is difficult to hold a match when the targets do not stay attached to the target holders.
Cancellation was inevitable.
The next / first match of the 2018 season will be held on Monday April 23. Plan to be there. Watch your email for details.
