Dear Fans of Cold Weather SB BR Shooting:
After a week’s delay, the first .22LR 50yd Bench Rest Fun Shoot of the 2018 season kicked off under cloudy skies, temps in the low 40’s, and a rather significant wind from the north. Luckily, most matches were complete before the snow started falling at about 6:00pm.
Twenty-two scores were logged, three with irons, 19 with scopes; not bad considering the conditions. Truth be told, it seems like some of our winter matches were contested in warmer weather than we saw today.
Thanks are offered to all who participated in the set-up, take-down, clean-up, scoring, target installation and retrieval, etc. And thanks are offered to all who braved the elements in the quest for that very elusive 400-40X. One thing for sure, today’s match should have taught us all something about shooting with adversity.
