Dear Mid-Range Shooters, Fan, Friends, and Foes:
An early wake-up this morning coupled with warm temperatures conspired to force your Match Director to take a post-match nap before publishing the results of today’s Mid-Range Challenge – but the competition ended less than five hours ago, so I’m sure the job (my job) is secure.
Twenty-five scores and one DNF were logged in two regular matches (the SR-3 target); seven additional scores were logged in the experimental match using the NBRSA 600 yard target. This was an interesting exercise, and while we may repeat it from time to time, the SR-3 target will remain the target of choice.
Many thanks to all who helped with set-up, take-down, pit work, clean-up, and of course taking their places on the firing line to test their skills against the 600 yards of canyon. A good time was had by all.
There are only two more matches scheduled in this series this season: Sat Aug 17, and Sun Sep 1. Mark your calendars and plan to join us. Spectators are always welcome.
If all goes well, we will have the new target storage shed in place at the 600 yard pit sometime this week.
The following lists the results of the three matches. Ties are sorted alphabetically by the shooters’ last names.
