Mid-Range Challenge Results 04.25.20

Dear Mid-Rangers, Friends, Fans, and Foes:

The first match of ten Mid-Range Challenges scheduled for 2020 was contested today in near perfect Wyoming spring weather. Temps were moderate, skies were sunny, and the wind – while always a factor – gave us a beak today.

Two matches were run; 14 scores were logged in the first, and nine in the second.

New shooters John Shade, Ross Anderson, and Dave Meserve joined our ranks today, and Dennis Koppehafer returned after a long absence. Hopefully they will be joining us on the firing line as the year continues.

And blood was spilled. No, not pistols at 20 paces, but I’ll let Mr Berg and Mr. Spriggs tell their tales.

And we had spectators, love it! A hint to future spectators, be sure to bring a spotting scope or binoculars. Those targets are 600 yards away.

Many thanks to all who helped with set-up, take-down, pit work, clean-up, etc. You make my job as Match Director easy.

The next Mid-Range Challenge is scheduled for Saturday May 9. Set-up starts at 800.

And the opening .22LR 50yd Bench Rest match will be held Monday April 27.

Stay safe and enjoy the shooting sports.

Charlie Piette
