Dear LVSA Members and Friends:

Today’s .22LR 50yd Bench Rest match saw 43 scores logged, five with irons and 38 with scopes. This is the highest attendance since May 14, 2018 (7 irons, 40 scopes), and the third highest since this series began back in August 2011. I’m sure the excellent weather was partly responsible as was the desire to get out and get back to normal. You are all to be congratulated.

We had several shooters back for the first time this season, Joe Nemick and Bob Trebelcock, and one visitor from Colorado, Gary Good, who shot with us one time back on August 14, 2014, where he logged a score of 374-14X. Welcome back, and be sure to add us to your Monday afternoon calendars.

As seen below, scores were generally high with nine 400’s, twenty-nine 200’s (2 with irons, 27 with scopes), and fourteen X counts of 30 and above. Maybe we are getting this gig figured out but don’t hold your breath. As the ancient Greek playwrights noted, pathos always follows hubris.

As always, many thanks to all helpers and shooters. This was a great match to run, and hopefully a great match to shoot.

The next match in this series is scheduled for Monday June 1. A good time is sure to be had by all.
