Dear Freedom Loving Mid-Range Shooters and Friends:
The Independence Day +1 Mid-Range Challenge (600yds) saw 20 scores logged in two matches.
A number of our regulars were enjoying (well, at least spending) holiday time with family and friends. We did have two shooters returning from previous years, Jared Beck and Jason Crotteau, and one shooter returning for his second go-round this year, Joaquin Barrera (Rock Springs). Hopefully they will add these matches to their schedules.
It is difficult to comment on conditions given the frequency with which they change. One thing I can advise is to watch the mirage every shot. It will pay off in that quest for the elusive 100-10X (in under 12 shots).
Many thanks to all who helped set-up, take-down, work the pit, work the line when the Match Director was shooting, etc. And of course many thanks to all who tested their gear and skills on the firing line. These are good matches.
The next event in this series is Saturday July 18. Set-up starts at 0830. A good time is sure to be had by all.
Charlie Piette, Match Director
