Dear Mid-Range Shooters and Everyone Else:
Today’s Mid-Range Challenge was the eighth in the ten scheduled this season. The weather was moderate (but tending to hot as the match concluded) with relatively mild winds.
Twenty-five scores were logged in two matches.
The best thing about today’s event, however, was that we had five new shooters joining us: Alan McOmie and his son Hunter, Garrett Hay’s son Scott and family member Dereck Narvais (visiting from Nebraska), finally Donn’ Molyneux’s neighbor Schell Woolett. Welcome to the world of LVSA Mid-Range shooting, guys. Hopefully we will be seeing you on the firing line in our future matches.
Many thanks to all who helped with set-up, take-down, pit work, running the walkie-talkie, etc. You make my Match Director’s job a breeze. And thanks to the shooters who tested their firearms, optics, ammo, and skills today at 600 yards.
The penultimate match of 2020 will be held on Saturday August 15. Set-up starts at 0800. Plan to be there. A good time will definitely be held by all.
Charlie Piette, Match Director
