Mid-Range Challenge – 2014

Dates: May 3, June 7, July 5, August 2

Time: Firing begins at 9:00 AM

Place: LVSA Outdoor Range at 8474 Highway 789.

Eligibility: All competitors are welcome.

Squadding: Will be based on first registered, first squadded.

Fees: $5.00 entry fee.

Safety: Eye and ear protection will be required on the firing line, and in the pit.

Rules and classification: NRA High Power rules will govern except: any rifle, any sight, any caliber under 40 allowed; firing will be from any position, or from a bench rest; all competitors will be in the same class.

Match conditions: All firing will be at 600 yards into a SR-3 target.

Sighting Shots: Each relay will have thirty minutes for firing. All shots fired will be recorded. The competitor’s score will be the last ten shots fired.

Scoring: Competitors will score, and do pit duty.

Awards: 60% of all entry fees will be returned to competitors based on one place per four competitors.

*For the competitor who shoots a perfect score of 100 a prize of 20% of the entry fees, cumulative relay to relay and match to match will be given. Ties will be broken first by X count, then by last shot fired. This prize is known as the Jackpot. For a competitor who has previously claimed a Jackpot, s/he must shoot a personal best possible score (X count) to claim an additional Jackpot.

A match consists of each competitor firing 10 shots for record.
Additional matches may be considered as dictated by weather and shooter interest each day.
