Dear Fans of SB Cold Weather Shooting:
The temperature in the rifle shed read 9 degF when we finished setting the targets for the first flight of shooters. The sky was overcast, but there was very little wind. In a word, it was cold.
But still, we scored 14 matches (one with irons, 13 with scopes) in today’s .22LR 100yd Bench Rest Winter Fun Shoot. For those keeping track, this was second of this season’s five matches in this series.
My thanks go out to all who helped set up, take down, scope, spot clean up, and all the other tasks that go into running a match. Thanks too to all who participated. We had a good group of shooters there today (nothing unusual here). I can say with certainty that a good – but cold – time was had by all.
The next match will be on January 24, 2015. Reserve that date. If you haven’t shot in one of there winter matches, you owe it to yourself to do so.
