Dear LVSA Members and Friends:
Conditions seemed just about perfect for today’s Mid-Range Challenge, but pleasant as they were, the scores were definitely lower than last year’s when about 30% were 100’s. If it were easy, they would call it [fill in the blank].
Thirty-five scores were logged in two matches. Things ran smooth, shooters helped as needed, and a good time was had by all. Results are shown below.
We tried something new this match: a clean target center was mounted when each shooter came to the line. This gave an unmarked target with well-defined scoring rings which made things easier for both those on the firing line and those in the pit. The centers were labeled and given to the shooters after the match. This worked well, and was well accepted by all competitors.
