Dear Fans of Summer BR Shooting:
Today’s .22LR 50yd Bench Rest Fun Shoot was contested under sunny skies and warm temperatures (91 degrees at match time per a reliable source). Winds tended to be steady, usually from the north, but as always varied.
A strange thing was happening in the later flights: when the wind intensity dropped to near zero, all shooting stopped. Seems like we were all dialed in for a steady wind and did not want to return to the sighter to re-zero. Usually the shooting stops when the wind increases in intensity and the shooters are waiting for calmer conditions.
Thirty-one matches were logged, two in irons, 29 in scopes.
Many thanks to the set-up crew, the clean-up crew, the take-down crew, the scoring crew, the water crew, the garden-vegetable crew, and all the shooters. You all combine to assure that a good time is had by all. And you are successful in that endeavor.
