Dear Labor Day Celebrants:
Today’s was the 18th of 21 matches in this year’s .22LR 50yd Bench Rest Fun Shoot season. A number of our regulars were enjoying the long Labor Day weekend elsewhere, but we still logged 32 matches (one in irons, 31 in scopes) on a challenging windy early September Wyoming afternoon.
We welcomed three new shooters today: Brad, Carrie, and Ray Berg, brother, sister-in-law, and nephew of Bruce Berg. Hopefully members of Team Berg will find time in their schedules to join us for more matches in the future.
As noted above, today’s wind provided all the challenge any of us could want, in fact, maybe a bit more. But if we waited to shoot in wind free conditions, we would have few matches. And you all recall we do live in the shadow of the Wind River Mountains.
Many thanks to all who helped in the conduct of the match. You are truly appreciated. And many thanks to all who faced the wind from the firing line.
