Dear WIND River Range Shooters and Friends:
Let me say that all who attended today’s .22LR 50yd Bench Rest Fun Shoot deserve a medal for enduring rather challenging wind (and later cold) conditions, and a diploma for all Our Friend the Wind taught us today.
Thirty-nine matches were logged, three in irons, 33 in scopes, and three DNF’s called because of wind.
Many thanks to all who helped set-up, set targets, score, clean up, take down, and all the miscellaneous small things that go into making a successful match.
Many thanks as well to all who were courageous to take their places on the firing lines and test their equipment and skills against the most difficult conditions we have encountered for quite some time. A good time was had by all. You are all stars.
Next week’s conditions will be better (they have to be).
