Dear Fans of Smallbore Summer BR Fun Shoots:
Summer time, and the livin’ is easy.
Temps in the 80’s, and the wind just a breeze.
The first .22LR 50yd Bench Rest Fun Shoot since the official start of summer (June 21) saw 41 matches logged, three with irons, 37 with scopes, and one DNF, under near perfect conditions. Our Friend the Wind played its usual tricks varying in both direction and intensity, but is was readable as the scores indicate.
We welcomed back Jack Mease and Allen Upshaw for their first matches of the season. Hopefully their schedules will allow them to continue their presence with us on Monday afternoons.
As always, my thanks to all who helped with and all aspects of the match, “many hands make light work.” And of course, my thanks to all the competitors.
A good time was had by all. Why? Because it always is.
