Dear LVSA Members and Friends:
Memorial Day – take time to pause and remember those in our military who died in service to our country.
This Memorial Day edition of the .22LR 50yd Bench Rest Fun Shoot was the 150th since this series began back in August 2011. To date, we have logged 4,640 scores, 636 with irons, 4,004 with scopes.
Today’s match was thirty-one of that total; seven with irons, 24 with scopes.
The weather was generally pleasant but turned threatening near the end; so much so that the decision was made to not set the last six targets. Our Friend the Wind varied in both intensity and occasionally direction. This kept things interesting.
We welcomed back nine-year old Henry Wendt and (unknown) year old Jason Wilson to the firing line. Hopefully they will be joining us frequently as the summer continues.
Thanks as always to all who helped and all who shot in today’s match. You are truly appreciated. Special thanks to budding Match Director Donn M. Don’t worry Donn, someday it will all become clear.
