RACY CLARK 100 SHOT GALLERY

The annual Racy Clark 100 shot event is fired from the standing position only. Beautiful weather greeted
the one junior and 4 adults willing to aim at the A17 bull’s-eyes. This is the final ‘open’ gallery match of
the season. It was enjoyable having a couple of new shooters. It was not enjoyable to have a firing pin
break in Bev’s Compass Lake upper leaving her unable to fire the last 25 shots. Jim had never fired any
competition before and after starting with a Marlin 39 with open sights, he was talked into trying one of
the clubs Marlin heavy barrel .22’s. That improved his scores as he got used to a light trigger and a
heavier rifle even though he still steered his bullets with open sights.
