.22LR 50yd BR Results – 05.01.17

May 1, 2017

Dear LVSA Members:

Cool temperatures and mostly sunny skies greeted the shooters for this afternoon’s .22LR 50yd Bench Rest Fun Shoot. Our friend the wind was less of a presence this week – especially compared to the previous two matches – but still blowing with varying intensity and changing directions.

Thirty-seven matches were logged, three in irons and 32 in scopes. There were two DNF’s, one due to a previous commitment and one due to ammo failure.

It should be noted that this is the 125th match in this series since it began back in August 2011. Over the years 3,613 matches have been logged, 545 in irons, and 3,068 in scopes. Congratulations to all participants.

We welcomed back long time shooters Tony Cross Dudley Irvine, and Don Legerski for their first matches of this season. We also welcomed two new shooters, Nick Deininger (club member), and Gregg Arthur (friend of Joe Nemick visiting from Laramie). Hopefully their Monday schedules will allow them to continue adding to their BR legacies.

Many thanks to all who helped with any and every aspect of the match. With support like this, my job as Match Director is easy. Many thanks as well to all who stepped up to the firing line to test their equipment and skill against today’s conditions. With support like this, my job as Match Director is truly satisfying.

The next match in this series will be held on Monday May 8, one week from today. Be there, either as a competitor or a spectator. A good time will be had by all.

Match Director
