Dear Fans and Friends of .22LR 50yd BR Shooting:
Mother Nature must be a fan of .22LR 50yd Bench Rest Fun Shoots (and understandingly so) given the rain-free window that allowed us to complete this afternoon’s match.
Despite the cool and overcast conditions, thirty-five matches were logged, three with Irons, 32 with Scopes. The wind, as always, was a factor but not to the extent it was in the first three matches of the 2017 season. It varied little in direction (from the north with occasional switches) or intensity (low to moderate).
We welcomed long time participant Joe Bautz back for his first match of the season, and new shooter Ed Newell for his first match in this series ever. Hopefully their schedules will allow them back every Monday afternoon.
Kudos: All who helped with any aspect of the match deserve a Match Director’s pat on the back (feel free to ask for one at the next opportunity). All who took their places on the firing line deserve the Match Director’s applause (assume it has been given, I wouldn’t want to affect your concentration).
Once again, a good time was has by all.
