Dear Followers of .22LR 50yd BR Matches and other LVSA Members:
This afternoon’s weather is just one of the many reasons why we love Wyoming. Skies were sunny, temperatures were temperate (mid 60’s), and our friend the wind was well behaved but she had her moments.
After a week of rain, snow, sleet, and cold, a number of our regulars took advantage of the weather to work on various moving and construction projects.
Still, today’s .22LR 50yd Bench Rest Fun Shoot saw 27 matches logged, two with irons and 25 with scopes.
We are optimistically hoping that the last of the bad weather is behind us and that the firing line will return to full strength next week and for the rest of the season (in 2014 we logged an average of 34 matches per week, in 2015 we logged 37).
As always, my thanks as Match Director go to all who helped with the set-up, take down, clean-up, scoring, targets, etc. Many hands make light work. And thanks to all who braved the sunny day and moderate temperatures to spend time at the range. A good time was had by all.
