Dear LVSA Members:
In today’s on-line local news site, County 10, it was noted that on the Fourth of July, Lander’s population (locals + visitors) swells to make us the fifth largest city in Wyoming. Hopefully all reading this who enjoy the festivities will do so safely. And for those who do not enjoy them, be safe as well.
The Independence Day edition of the .22LR 50yd Bench Rest Fun Shoot saw 43 matches logged, four with irons, 38 with scopes, and 1DNF. This brings the total for the year (11 matches) to 418, 29 with irons, and 389 with scopes. Congratulations.
Conditions were typical for Lander in July: sunny, temps in the high 80’s, with winds variable in both intensity and direction; perfect for an afternoon at the range spent in the company of like-minded friends and shooters.
Many thanks to all who helped and to all who took their turns on the firing line. It can be safely said that a good time was had by all.
Next week marks the mid-point in this year’s season. If you have been wanting to try this out, now is the time. You will not be disappointed.
