Dear Friends of the Wyoming Cold:
The calendar says “late November” but the thermometer doesn’t agree. The temperature at match time for today’s .22LR 100yd Bench Rest Winter Fun Shoot stood at 38 degrees, and by the time we were done, had climbed to 46.
But fear not, we can be confident that the single digit temperatures we experienced during last season’s matches will return.
The only G-rated thing that can be said about the wind, however, is “hellacious.” Strong from the south, then from the west. No fun.
Thanksgiving, hunting, and good weather kept attendance to a minimum. Only ten scores were logged today, three with irons and seven with scopes. The results are reported below.
Many thanks to all who helped and to all who shot. You are truly appreciated.
The next match in this series will be on Sat Dec 23, two days past the winter solstice. The sun will be low in the sky, be prepared.
Charlie Piette
