Dear .22LR 100yd Winter Bench Rest Fans:
The temperature at today’s .22LR 100yd Winter Bench Rest match was warmer than forecast (low 20’s), and the wind was essentially non-existent, but skies were overcast, and snow started falling as the match concluded. Pretty much perfect conditions for a mid-December match.
Thirteen scores were logged, two with irons and 11 with scopes. We welcomed one new shooter, Eric Perkins, to our ranks. Hopefully Eric will become a regular at the firing line for both the remaining three 100yd Winter matches and the 50yd spring/summer matches.
There is lots of work involved in the 100yd matches, much more than the 50yd events. Thanks is graciously offered to all who helped.
The next match in this series is scheduled for Sat Jan 18. Mark your calendars, plan to be there, spectators are always welcome. A good time will definitely be had by all.
