LVSA Membership Meeting Minutes September 3, 2014
Called to order at 7:30PM by President Sebesta. Four Board members present (Sebesta, Piette, Cain, Molyneux), and eleven members.
Minutes from May 7, 2014 were read by Sec / Treas Piette. Move by Thomas, 2nd by Molyneux to approve as read. Passed by a voice vote.
Treasurer’s repost by Piette: as of August 31, there was $22,422 available in checking, $1,196 savings. Membership stood at 312.
Largest income item: Money collected for sale of trap machine $5,000.

2] .22LR 50yd Bench Rest Fun Shoot weekly through September

Range Committee:
D. Thomas will work with B. Campbell to organize the 600yd berm repair and the HP turkey rail leveling. Thomas will evaluate enlarging the 600yd target pit.
Campbell is having Huff Sanitation service the out-house.
Junior Club
Caroline Cain reported that the Fremont County 4-H shooters were successful at the State Championships. State 4-H website will have complete results.
Juniors will start again during the first week in Oct. Cain will place ads in the schools.
Old Business
1] Thomas reported that the Long Range Sport Shooting program was a great success. He plans to run a similar program next year called Long Range Precision Shooting.
2] The State Silhouette Championships drew 22 competitors from .CO, MO, MT, ND, SD, and WY. Four new Wyoming records were set.
3] The summer’s four Mid-Range Challenge matches drew 43 participants. The final match was won by a Junior shooter.
4] Raffle tickets and renewal notices were mailed in mid-August.
New Business
1] The expanded pistol shed and target pocket repair has allowed the .22LR 60yd Bench Rest matches to run fast and smooth. Through the first 20 weeks, 672 matches have been recorded.
2] The LVSA is very grateful to Marla Lemm and her crew at the Good Place for their help collecting dues and ticket money. Move by Piette to show our appreciation with a $100 gift certificate to one of Lander’s local restaurants. Second by Molyneux. Passed by voice vote.
3] October’s Show and Tell will feature “best jokes.” Bring one or more to share.
4] Adult open shooting will begin at the Indoor Range on Oct 7, the first Tue in Oct.
5] Larry Davis 332-2202 will chair the Sep 19 Public Sight-In Day. Members are reminded to come on out and lend a hand (extra spotting scopes are always helpful).
6] Range lock was changed at 5:30pm Wed Sep 3.
7] Members are reminded to make sure the buildings and gates are locked after use.
8] Jeff Hutson picked up the cat abandoned at the outdoor range. Jeff also expressed the Fremont County Sheriff’s thanks to the LVSA for the use of the range.
