Dear Friends, Fans, and Foes of .22LR 50yd BR Shooting:
Sunny skies, moderately warm temps in (mid-80’s), and switching winds greeted the shooters for today’s 13th .22LR 50yd BR Bench Rest Fun Shoot. Thirty-seven matches were logged, five in irons and 32 in scopes. It should be noted that today’s was the 90th match in this series since it started back in August 2011.
One new shooter, John Shade, joined us for the first time today, and two shooters, Dallas Baker and Lou Roque, returned after extended absences. Hopefully all three will be regulars on the firing line for the rest of the season. Also, Bruce Campbell made his first appearance this year in the scope class (returning to his rabbit-shooting roots with a Lyman 6x scope mounted on his Kimber 82).
Many hands go into making a match run successfully. My thanks go out to all who helped. Many hands on the firing line make for a successful match, My thanks go out to all who participated.
Scores were not as high as they have been in recent weeks, but it can be safely said that a good time was had by all.
