Dear Friends of SB BR Fun Shoots:
As predicted, the weather for today’s .22LR 50yd Bench Rest Fun Shoot was sunny and warm (mid 80’s), and the wind, well, the wind was our friend – not raging (but not often quiet), but variable in both speed and direction, Arbitrary and capricious as she was, she demanded our attention.
Thirty-five matches were logged trying, three in irons, 32 in scopes. And scores were respectable. In my opinion, we all are learning how to better play the wind.
The 400 – 40X holy grail of this series still escapes our grasp.
My thanks to all who helped with any and all aspects of the match, and my thanks to all who joined us on the firing line. A good time was had by all.
The season is move than 70% over, only seven matches remain. There is still time to get your SB BR fix in 2015. Over the winter we’ll be running 100yd matches (with 50yd targets), but many of us will be “jonesing” for the 50yd game. It can’t be helped.
