RACY CLARK 100 SHOT GALLERY
LVSA FEB 7, 2016
The Racy Clark match is in memory of a dedicated shooter, coach and major force in developing the Lander Valley Sportsmen’s Association. Six took the challenge to shoot the A17 target with 1 minute allowed per shot, rather than the 2 minutes allowed in 3 P.
After 80 shots, junior shooter Flint Porkorny, Lander had a 2 point lead. At the final bell, Kenneth Lankford, Laramie won the match by 2 points: Lankford @ 944 and Porkorny @ 942. Porkorny has earned a trip to Co Springs Olympic training center by winning in air rifle and smallbore rifle at the WY Junior Olympic Championships in January. Taking 3rd overall was Kyle Carper, Riverton at 916. Whereas the match is not an NRA event, rather than using classes for awards the Lewis system was used. This groups shooters according to scores and somewhat gives a ‘luck of placement’ to winning an award. Shawn Carper picked up the ‘second group’ award with his 540 after being arm twisted into shooting alongside his son.
