Dear LVSA Winter SB 100yd BR Fans:
The temperature was 15 deg when I left my place for the range this morning at 8:30am, but there was hardly a breath of air moving and the sun was shining brightly through a scattered few high clouds.
At the range, there was no apparent wind up at the shooting stations, but a light wind made it presence known down range.
It seems like forever since our last .22LR 100yd Bench Rest Winter Fun Shoot (Dec 23, 2017) so it was great to hit the firing line under near perfect conditions. Eleven matches were logged, one with irons and 10 with scopes.
Three new shooters joined our ranks for this match: Nathan Baehr, Tony Simmers, and Ed Wellman; and one shooter from our 50yd group, Tyler Hede, shot his first 100yd winter match. Hopefully all will become regular competitors at these and other club events.
My thanks to all who helped with the set-up, take-down, clean-up, scoring, setting targets, etc. And of course thanks to all who tested their abilities and equipment from the firing line. A good time was definitely had by all.
The final match in the series this season will be held on Saturday March 24. Watch your email for details.
