.22LR 100yd Winter BR Results – 02.23.19

Dear Cold Weather SB BR Shooters:

Today’s .22LR 100yd Winter Bench Rest match started out cold, about 4 degF with cloudy skies and a wind generally from the south, but with the usual fluctuations. By match’s end (noon), the sun was out and the temp was up to 24.

Those who sat down at the firing line today definitely proved their tenacity, toughness, and dedication.

Thirteen scores were logged, two with irons and 11 with scopes. We welcomed one new shooter to our ranks today, Keegan Dentici, one of my three step-sons, recently out of the army (two tours in the middle-east). This was his baptism by ice (hardly by fire) into the club’s world of small bore bench rest shooting.

Thanks as always to all who helped with the numerous tasks involved in a match like this. You are truly appreciated.

The fifth and final match of the season will be held on Sat Mar 19. I can almost guarantee that the weather will be warmer. Watch your email for details, Plan to attend.
