.22LR 50yd BR Results – 08.12.19

Dear LVSA Members and Friends:

In my never ending quest as match Director to provide the tools for you the competitors to reach that elusive plateau of 400 – 40X, I have had the club purchase four Velocimeters to aid in mastering Our Friend the Wind and thus move a step or two closer to the goal (picture attached).

Today’s .22LR 50yd Bench Rest match saw them used to great advantage by Richard Brown shooting his Anschutz. Nice shooting, my friend.

Vacations, camping, work, medical concerns (mainly eyes and backs), etc conspired to keep attendance low. Still, twenty-five scores were logged, six with scopes and 19 with irons. This brings the season’s total to 500 (75 irons, 419 scopes, 6 DNF’s).

Thanks to all shooters, scorers, helpers, target gatherers, etc. Don’t know what I’d do without you.

Only seven matches to go in 2019. Next week we will see the upgraded benches 3 and 9. Plan to be there..
